I'm currently fully booked - please contact me if you have a large garden and would like to go on my waiting list (email or WhatsApp is best).
I'm currently unable to offer one-off gardening jobs, as I'm fully booked. However, I will have time during winter 24/25 for garden tidy-ups, apple, pear and rose pruning.
My name is Corinne Calligan and I've been a keen gardener from a young age. In 2022, I started studying the RHS Level 2 in Practical Horticulture at Shuttleworth College, which I completed in June 2023. I am also studying the RHS Level 2 theory course in Principles of Plant Growth & Development online - I'm about to take my last exam. I personally have a preference for naturalist and also modern cottage style gardening, and I'm a fan of the likes of Piet Oudolf, Noel Kingsbury, Jo Thompson, Dan Pearson and Tom Stuart-Smith. I'm also an environmentalist, so I try to garden in an organic, wildlife-friendly way. That being said, I have an appreciation for many different gardening styles, and I'm happy to help you achieve what you want from your garden. I've been lucky enough to have a garden since I've been an adult, and I've also previously had an allotment. In 2014, I entered my garden, which I'd created from scratch, into a gardening competition ran by Biggleswade Chronicle with Frosts Garden Centres, and I won the water conservation category, as well as being the overall winner of the Garden of the Year award.
I'm continuing to develop as a professional gardener. I've attended WFGA courses in fruit tree and rose pruning, Dry Gardening with CUBG, and I've also attended an Exotic Gardening study day with Fergus Garrett at Great Dixter and I've also attended a few of Fergus' online lectures. I'm currently studying a Profesional Planting Design Course (Learning with Experts), as well as An Expert Guide to Planting Design by Dan Pearson (Create Academy).
